The first step in installing folding doors is to measure the door frame’s width of the door frame that you wish to install folding doors to. Cut the measured length of the door frame 2 inches shorter for allowance. The third step is to place the hinge with the spring built into it below the folding door and have the door slide to the fame which will let the hinge slide also to the door stop. Do the same with the top part. Which the door is installed you should first try opening and closing the door to see if it slides smoothly. If not, recheck if your sliding tracks are properly aligned.

Some hints when installing the folding door

It is always easier if you have a friend help you to line the sliding the tracks. While you partner lines then up, you can more easily position the door.

Take note of the height of the folding doors from your floor. Sometimes, folding doors could scratch the door. But if properly installed, you can avoid this. You may have to measure the distance of the floor from the folding door. If scratching occurs, try reinstalling the folding doors in to a different position.
